I’ve started reading L.A. Confidential for my English class for a sort of free read sort of thing, and it is fucking AWESOME. Uh, I DO have to give a warning that it can get really dark and violent really quickly. In fact, the prologue is about a guy running around with a suitcase full of heroine and guns and he guns down like, a dozen cops. It’s a Noir fiction novel, which basically means that it’s extremely dark and brooding, but it’s also very deep and emotional. It’s a crime novel, and I recommend this to anyone that is thinking about even going anywhere NEAR a bookstore sometime in their life.
